<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transflective liquid crystal display device with which excellent display quality is obtained both in the case of being used as a transmissive liquid crystal display device and in the case of being used as a reflective liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: A reflection electrode 120, a transparent electrode 122, a TFT 116 connected to the reflection electrode 120, and a TFT 117 connected to the transparent electrode 122 are formed for each of pixels, and a first data signal is written to the reflection electrode 120 via the TFT 116 and a second data signal is written to the transparent electrode 122 via the TFT 117. In this way, the excellent display quality is obtained both in the case of being used as the transmissive liquid crystal display device and in the case of being used as the reflective liquid crystal display device by separately writing individual data signals to the reflection electrode 120 and to the transparent electrode 122. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
