<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where an image defect caused by strip discharge is restrained to the utmost by stabilizing the separation of the trailing end of a recording medium from a transfer belt. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has the transfer belt 13 carrying and conveying the recording paper P, a plurality of image forming parts having a photoreceptor drum and forming a toner image on the drum, a plurality of transfer rollers opposed to the respective photoreceptor drums through the transfer belt 13 and transferring the toner images on the photoreceptor drums to the recording medium, and a fixing device 19 fixing an unfixed toner image to the recording medium by holding and conveying the recording medium to which the toner image is transferred between a fixing roller 24 and a pressure roller 23. The conveying speed of the recording medium after the recording medium comes off from a final transfer part T1d in a conveying direction is set lower than that before it comes off from the final transfer part T1d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
