PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip type solid electrolytic capacitor which can improve an ESL characteristic and can be formed as a further decreased ESL, in a chip type solid electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: The chip type solid electrolytic capacitor comprises a capacitor element 1; an anode lead frame 2 in which an anode joining part 2b joined to the anode 1a of the capacitor element 1 is provided at one end of a planar part 2a, and a mounting anode terminal 2c is provided on a lower surface; and a cathode lead frame 3 to which the cathode 1b of the capacitor element 1 is mounted to be joined, and a planar part 3a mounted on the planar part 2a of the anode lead frame 2 through an insulating layer, and a mounting cathode terminal 3b are provided on the lower surface. Thus, a direction of a current flowing in the cathode lead frame 3 and a direction of a current flowing in the anode lead frame 2 are reversed to be denied, thereby reducing the ESL fairly.
