PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device capable of preventing paper wrinkles by an inexpensive and simple structure and by which a material to be heated is conveyed while being held with a nip part N formed by pressure contact between a heating body 20 and a pressure body 24, and thereby the material is heated, and to provide an image forming apparatus having the heating device. SOLUTION: The heating device has a guide means 34 by which a material to be heated is guided to the nip part N. The guide means 34 is located on the side of the pressure body 24 from a line F connecting the entrance end Na and exit end Nb of the nip part N. An angleθbetween an extending line G from the material conveying surface of the guide means 34 towards the nip part N and a tangential line H that touches the surface of the pressure body at a point A where the extending line G intersects the surface of the pressure body is in the range of 30°to 60°.
