摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an azimuth data computing method, an azimuth sensor unit and a portable electronic equipment capable of executing proper calibration to measure a correct azimuth, even when a data obtained from a triaxial geomagnetism sensor is limited within a specified plane. SOLUTION: This method/sensor unit/equipment is provided with the triaxial geomagnetism sensor, and has a step for inputting a magnetic field data from the triaxial geomagnetism sensor, when the geomagnetism sensor is rotated in a plane in parallel to the ground surface under the condition inclined within a prescribed angle range with respect to the ground surface, a step for determining the presence of the input data within the same plane, a step for finding center coordinates and a radius of a circular arc with the existing input data to calculate a tentative offset, when the input data exists within the same plane, and a step for correcting the magnetic field data by the calculated tentative offset to compute an azimuth data.
