PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open a sliding door by using a door pull, by pulling out the door pull to this side, when opening the sliding door by opening an opening-closing body, without being hindered by the door pull of the sliding door when fully closing the opening-closing body. SOLUTION: This door pull for the sliding door is composed of an installation seat fixed so as to be substantially fitted inside the door end side of the sliding door and having a door pull body storage part of a sideways turning recessed place shape, and a vertically long door pull body stored in the storage part for freely taking in and out so as to become at least substantially flush with this installation seat. A base end part of the door pull body is pivoted to a fixed support shaft on the storage part side, and has an engaging elongate hole arranged in the vicinity of the fixed support shaft and locked on a fixed obstacle piece. The door pull body is built in the door pull body in an initial position stored in a vertical state in the storage part and a tilting position locked on the fixed obstacle piece by rotating from the free end part side, and is held by an auxiliary energizing means brought into pressure contact with the fixed obstacle piece.
