<p>The method involves examining mounting position on a component carrier (20) for existence of a component (30c). An actual position of the component is determined. The component is automatically removed from the component carrier and then attached at a target position on the carrier by an assembly head (10), during a deviation of the actual position of the component from the target position.</p>
