<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with an information device having a device-identifying noncontact tag wherein, if a reader/writer part adapted for reading another noncontact tag located outside of the information device is built into the information device, the reader/writer part could mistakenly read information from the device-identifying noncontact tag while reading the target noncontact tag. <P>SOLUTION: An electric wave shield is positioned between the reader/writer part in the information device and the noncontact tag inside the information device. A communication means for inhibiting the response of the noncontact tag inside from a control part of the information device and a method for controlling the noncontact tag are provided to inhibit the response of the noncontact tag inside the information device during the operation of the reader/writer part. The above method or combination prevents the reader/writer part from mistakenly reading information from the noncontact tag inside the information device and allows information to be read from the target noncontact tag. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
