<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for providing excellent image free from striped irregularities. <P>SOLUTION: In the adjusting method for an LED print head (LPH) 14 equipped with a lens array 53 which forms the light from a light emitting element on an object image, the beam diameter condensed by the LPH 14 or the MTF value is grasped in the main scanning direction at a position corresponding to the position on a photoreceptor to specify a fluctuation generating portion (striped part a and striped part b) from among the grasped beam diameter or the MTF values, and a reference pin 55 is adjusted so as to shift the focus position relative to the whole of the LPH14 in a direction hard to generate stripes relative to positional shifts at a specified change generated position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
