PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encrypter for enabling a client having no encrypting function to easily utilizing encrypted mails functions without controlling/encrypting/decoding certificates and keys. SOLUTION: When an internet facsimile 2 sends an electronic mail (a) to the encrypter 1, it converts the received electronic mail to an encrypted mail (b), and sends it to a mail server 3. When an internet facsimile 2' sends data (c) composed of encrypted part as the mail text and destination information to the encrypter 1, the encrypter 1 encrypts the received mail text to an encrypted one in a specified encrypting format, and sends it to the internet facsimile 2'.
