PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selection assisting device of an automatic transmission, switching a range in ferrule by mechanical connection between a select lever and a select position switching device, reducing the size of the select lever to heighten the degree of freedom in layout, and obtaining the select lever operating force characteristic according to a request.
