PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fork lift truck changing a direction and a position of a fork to a vehicle body in a complicated manner, fixing a pallet supported by the fork to the fork, and releasing its fixation. SOLUTION: This fork lift truck is provided with: a lock lever 21 capable of following turning operation, traversing operation, and elevating and lowering operation of the fork 10; a rotary solenoid 25 for driving to operate the lock lever 21; a shift right end detection sensor 41 and a shift left end detection sensor 42 for detecting a traversing position of the fork 10; and a rotate right end detection sensor 43 and a rotate left end detection sensor 44 for detection a direction of the fork 10. By controlling driving of the rotary solenoid 25 according to the results of detection of four detection sensors 41 to 44, the lock lever 21 is operated to fix the pallet or release its fixation.
