PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain structure capable of automatically adjusting pressure-contact at low cost. SOLUTION: This yarn winder 1 is provided with a pressure-contact roller 11 to be brought into contact with the peripheral surface of a yarn layer formed by winding a yarn Y around a bobbin B in the condition wherein the predetermined contact pressure is given, and the pressure-contact roller 11 is supported by an elevating frame 10 with guide by guide supports 9 and 9. The elevating frame 10 can change a distance between the center of the pressure-contact roller 11 and the center of the bobbin B. A pressure-contact cylinder 13 is connected to the elevating frame 10, and the pressure thereof is adjusted by an electro-pneumatic regulator, and the electro-pneumatic regulator is controlled by a control device. The control device 24 operates the electro-pneumatic regulator to supply air to the pressure-contact cylinder 13 so that the pressure-contact roller 11 and the bobbin B are not brought into contact with each other, and the pressure for supplying fluid to the pressure-contact cylinder 13 during the time when the elevating machine 10 rises can be measured.
