PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary barrier device for an elevator landing place easily holding a barrier provided temporarily at a landing place in a normal condition when doing maintenance work by opening a door of an elevator at the landing place. SOLUTION: Three devices including a temporary fitting 12, a connection bar 15, and a connection fitting 16 are assembled and arranged in contact with a sliding door 8 arranged in width of an entrance 7 and opening the temporary fittings 12 at both ends fully, and the connection bar 15 is held on the connection fitting 16 by a holding device 17. A fitting part 13 of the temporary fitting 12 is fitted into a sill channel 5 of a sill 6, and a leg part 11 of a barrier body is fitted into a fitting hole 14 of the temporary fitting 12. The barrier body is temporarily provided at the landing place 1 in this way to prevent occurrence of inconvenience that loses predetermined action as a barrier by moving and turning over of the barrier body due to hitting of strong wind and contact of a passerby at the landing place 1.
