PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for determining the estrus of cattle fed not only in a free barn but also in a stall barn. SOLUTION: The apparatus for finding the estrus of the cattle comprises a recognizing means mounted on the body of the cattle, a reading means for reading the recognizing means in a lying state or a standing state of the cattle and a measuring means for measuring the reading time and/or frequency of the reading means.
