PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod capable of simply changing over to a long rod state and a short rod state. SOLUTION: A fitting cylindrical part 2a for inserting and fitting into a rod butt of a first rod 3 in a spigot joint type form is formed at the end on the rod tip side in a second rod 2A. A fitting hole for fitting and holding a fitting cylinder 2a extended from a third rod 2B is formed at the end on the rod butt side in the second rod 2A to enable a spigot joint form. A fitting surface 2d inserted and fitted into a fitting cylinder 1a which a base rod 1 having larger diameter than a diameter of the third rod 2B has is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the end on the rod butt side in the second rod 2A to enable changeover of connection.
