CASUAL PERSONNEL RECRUITMENT METHOD AND SYSTEM

A method is provided for recruitment of casual personnel via a telecommunications network. One or more casual job seekers register a job seeker profile including details of the casual job seeker's availability in a database (12). A prospective employer nominates search criteria including a date and/or time when the casual personnel are required to work for interrogation of the database (16). A list of job seekers meeting the employer nominated search criteria is generated (20). The prospective employer initiates contact with one or more of the listed job seekers using an instant communication pathway (24).
