<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nickel oxide powder decreasing heating shrinkage factor as the constitution material of a fuel electrode in order to suppress breakage, separation, and warp of the the fuel electrode generating in a baking process in the manufacture of a solid oxide fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The nickel oxide powder for the fuel electrode material contains 0.05-5 wt% chromium oxide to the nickel oxide, and has a heating shrinkage factor of 12% or less at 1,400°C of a press-molded pellet. The nickel oxide powder containing chromium oxide is manufactured in such a way that nickel oxide powder and chromium oxide powder are mixed, or nickel hydroxide is crystallized from a nickel salt solution prepared by dissolving water soluble chromium salt, and the mixture or the obtained crystal is baked in oxidizing atmosphere at 800-1,200°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
