<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of compensating variations in an optical output of an optical data link consequent upon a temperature dependence characteristic of an optical system. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting element 14 produces the optical output of the optical data link 10. A drive circuit 22 drives the light emitting element in response to its electric input. The optical system 16 is optically coupled with the light emitting element. A photodetector 20 receives the optical output from the light emitting element not through the optical system to generate an electric signal. An output control circuit 28 controls the drive circuit in response to the electric signal to stabilize the optical output. A temperature sensor 31 measures an internal temperature of the optical data link. A storage device 27 stores a plurality of gain setting values for determining a conversion gain of the output control circuit in cross-reference with a plurality of internal temperatures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
