<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an optimum coloration to be selected when performing overprinting a multicolor original with a plurality of color inks. <P>SOLUTION: This image processing apparatus which provides a coloration when performing overprinting a multicolor original image includes: a color paper/color ink registration means which registers information on m kinds of color paper and information on n kinds of color inks, which are usable for performing overprinting the multicolor original image, in a color paper/color ink list; a color combining means which lists up all combinations of k kinds of color papers arbitrarily selected from the m kinds of color papers and one kind of color ink arbitrarily selected from the n kinds of color inks, as color combination elements; a color image generation means which generates color images resulting from coloring multicolor original image data, per listed-up color combination element; and a coloration selection means which selects a coloration of a color image selected by a user from among the color images, as a coloration for actually multicolor-printing the multicolor original image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
