<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which can realize high illuminance of a light emitting chip and can be manufactured in high workability. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device 1 is provided with a light emitting chip 2 which is provided with a first electrode 6 and a second electrode 5, and emits a light from a light emitting area 3 formed on its surface 4 when it is energized through the first electrode 6 and the second electrode 5; and a reflector member 10 which is provided with a reflection surface 11 to reflect a light emitted from the light emitting area 3 in a specified direction.
