<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a bearing, and to thereby simplify a cleaning mechanism of an electrode, in a residual chlorine analyzer by a polarographic method. <P>SOLUTION: In this residual chlorine meter, a voltage is applied between a working electrode 7 and a counter electrode 8 dipped in measuring liquid, and the free residual chlorine concentration in the measuring liquid is measured, based on a current flowing between both electrodes. The analyzer is provided with the measuring liquid and an abrasive storage part 10 for storing an electrode abrasive 9 such as ceramic beads around the working electrode 7, and provided with a vibration motor 11 for vibrating the abrasive storage part 10. The analyzer is constituted so that the electrode surface of the working electrode 7 is polished and cleaned by vibrating relatively the working electrode 7 and the electrode abrasive 9 intermingled in the measuring liquid around it, and that the residual chlorine concentration in the measuring liquid is measured continuously, while preventing fouling on the electrode surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
