<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel state electrolyte improved with the corrosive property against metal materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, etc., having a high ionic conductivity and excellent in heat resistance, and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This gel state electrolyte is obtained by mixing at least 1 kind selected from a group of divalent acrylic ester compounds and at least 1 kind selected from a group of (meth)acrylic acid ester compounds in the presence of a normal temperature fused salt expressed by general formula [1] [wherein, (n) is 2-8 positive integer; and X<SP>+</SP>is a quaternary onium cation, e.g. pyrrolidinium, piperidinium, morphonium, pyridinium and imidazolium] and a polymerization initiator, and heating for copolymerizing.
