<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine furnishing attractiveness to the insertion of a storage medium. <P>SOLUTION: The game machine comprises a display means having a substantially polygonal screen, an insertion section for receiving the insertion of a card-type storage medium through a slot disposed in parallel to and adjacent to one side of the screen, a card-type storage medium reading means for transmitting an insertion signal when the insertion is made, a character image forming means for forming a character image representing the card-type storage medium in the game space, and a display control means for controlling the movement of the character image on the display means. The display control means senses the insertion signal when the card-type storage medium is inserted and displays under control in response to the sensed movement of the card-type storage medium along its inserting direction toward the center of the screen from its edge adjacent to the insertion section, thereby displaying the inserted card-type storage medium as if it moves into the game space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
