PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover an ink mist which varies an ink-mist generating position and the quantity of the generated ink mist, according to printing resolution. SOLUTION: The ink mist is removed by generating an airflow between an inkjet recording head 14 and paper P by means of suction devices 22 and 24. In this case, the distribution of the generation of the airflow is varied according to the printing resolution. Thus, the ink mist can be efficiently removed when the position of the airflow generated by the suction devices 22 and 24 is changed, even if the ink-mist generating position is varied according to the printing resolution. Additionally, the ink mist can be efficiently removed by changing the quantity of the air flow generated by the suction devices 22 and 24, even if the quantity of the ink mist is varied according to the printing resolution.
