PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice mail system in which the maintenance and management burden of a communication network is reduced and a sender is capable of confirming voice information reproduction information left by the sender. SOLUTION: In the voice mail system, each of communication terminals on a communication network comprises: a communication destination detecting means 1 for detecting and connecting a terminal of a communicating party; a communication history storage means 2 for making re-communication with a terminal possible directly between terminals if first communication is performed between specific terminals; an information storage means 3 for storing and recording voice information; a recorded information presence/absence display means 4 for displaying the presence/absence of stored information; a recorded information detecting and reproducing means 6 for detecting and reproducing recorded information; a reproduction completion signal transmitting means 6 for transmitting a reproduction completion signal to each of transmission source terminals when the reproduction of the recorded information is completed; and a reproduction confirmation display means 7 for displaying the completion of reproduction on the transmission source terminal in response to the recorded information reproduction completion signal.
