PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable focusing apparatus that can be achieved simply and at low cost. SOLUTION: A variable focus optic module 16 is provided with a housing 20, lens assembly 18, and protrusion and recess system 28, 30, 32. The lens assembly 18 is disposed movably in operable relation with respect to the housing 20. The protrusion and recess system includes at least one protrusion 28 disposed on either the housing or the lens assembly, and at least one recess 30, 32 disposed in the one facing the protrusion among the lens assembly and the housing.
