PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover attachment structure in which a resin base member constructing a lower end part of a sensor is attached to make a lower surface thereof face a road and a metal cover is attached on the lower surface, and which reduces cost and does not have concerns in safety. SOLUTION: A boss 93 projecting at a appropriate part of the lower surface of the resin base member 61 is formed. A recess part 107 formed by denting a part corresponding to the boss 93 in the base member 61 side is formed on the cover 101. A through-hole 102 is formed in a bottom part thereof. The boss 93 is penetrated through the through-hole 102 and a boss tip part is projected. The cover 101 is attached to the base member 61 by caulking the boss tip part. A head part 93 of the caulked boss tip part is not projected out of a surface 101 of the cover of a circumference edge of the recess part 107. A screw member is not necessary for attaching the cover 101. Since the head part 93 exists inside of the surface 101a, a stone does not easily hits the same. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
