PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring device of a liner capable of easily boring a hole in the liner for blocking up a connecting part of a vertical pipe and a horizontally laying pipe. SOLUTION: This boring device is composed of a cutting unit 1 and a rotary unit 2 mutually connected by a universal joint 34. The cutting unit has a motor 11, a gear device 13 arranged on the tip of a rotary shaft 12 of its motor and changing the driving direction by 90 degrees, a rotary cutting cutter 15 arranged on a driving shaft 14 of its gear device, and tilting means 17 and 18 for engaging the rotary cutting cutter with an inner surface of a vertical drain pipe by tilting its cutting unit to the axis of the vertical drain pipe Pv. The rotary unit has a fixing means 20 for fixing the rotary unit to a wall surface of the vertical drain pipe, and a motor 25 for rotating the cutting unit, and also has a TV camera 300 for visually observing a position of the rotary cutting cutter 15.
