SORTING DEVICE MOVING CARRIER BOX ALONG RAIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase working efficiency and secure the certainty of work, in a device for sorting carried articles (such as mails and envelopes). SOLUTION: A vertical shaft and a horizontal shaft are installed in a chain body, and a guide roller is fitted to the vertical shaft and a running roller and a drive roller are fitted to the horizontal shaft. A carrying box B having an inlet and an outlet for the mails is mounted on the chain body, and a rail for the guide roller controllably guiding the guide roller and a rail for the running roller supporting the running roller are installed on a frame. A second circular arc cde is formed on the rail for the guide roller at a position nearest a mail throwing position, the second center O2of the second circular arc cde is positioned on the mail throwing position side of the rail for the guide roller. While the guide roller passes the points c, d, and e of the second circular arc cde in order, the inlet of the carrying box mounted on the chain body supporting the guide roller is approximately stopped near the second center O2of the second circular arc cde.
