PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire for removing endovascular foreign bodies and a medical appliance, capable of surely catching and removing the endovascular foreign bodies. SOLUTION: The wire 1A for removing the endovascular foreign bodies comprises a flexible wire body 2, at least two branched wire parts 4a and 4b branched from the distal end side of the wire body 2, and filament parts 5a, 5b and 5c disposed between the branched wire parts 4a and 4b. For the wire 1A for removing the endovascular foreign bodies, a foreign body catching space 31 for catching endovascular embolus materials 200 is formed by the branched wire parts 4a and 4b and the filament parts 5a, 5b and 5c, the length of a space forming part 53 forming the foreign body catching space 31 in the filament part 5a is changed, and thus the size of a loop wire 6a formed by the filament part 5a and the branched wire parts 4a and 4b is changed.
