PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood collecting apparatus capable of preventing adverse effects in changing a hollow needle when a hollow needle punctured to the blood vessel of a donor clogs. SOLUTION: The blood collecting apparatus 1 of this invention comprises: a blood circuit 2 provided with a blood collecting and returning line 21 and a hollow needle assembly 29 including the hollow needle 291 freely detachably connected to one end side of the blood collecting and returning line 21; a blood pump 11 for feeding blood inside the blood collecting and returning line 21; a donor pressure sensor 18 for detecting a donor pressure which is a pressure inside the blood collecting and returning line 21 on the side of the hollow needle 291 from the blood pump 11; and a control means 55 for controlling the operation of the blood pump 11 on the basis of the detection signals of the donor pressure sensor 18. The control means 55 stops the blood pump 11 and turns it to a standby state when detecting the abnormal decline of the donor pressure during when collecting the blood by the operation of the blood pump 11 and can control the operation of the blood pump 11 so as to return the donor pressure to a normal pressure at the time of the standby state.
