PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying machine capable of delicately drying an object to be dried and reducing loads applied onto the object at the drying time while securing a predetermined evaporation temperature in an evaporator. SOLUTION: A dry cleaner 1 with a heat pump device 3 is provided with a water-cooled heat exchanger 13 as a heat exhaust means for taking the heat of a coolant in a capillary tube 10 and a controller 20 for variably controlling a heat exhaust amount in the water-cooled heat exchanger 13 and the capacity of a compressor 5. The controller 20 has at least two kinds of drying modes which are a normal drying mode and a delicate drying mode, and in the delicate drying mode, sets the temperature of discharge air to a housing chamber 2A to be lower than that in the normal drying mode, controls the capacity of the compressor 5 and increases the heat exhaust amount in the water-cooled heat exchanger 13.
