PURPOSE:To obtain a power-saving type air-spraying type coater which is capable of supplying a low-pressure purging air to air nozzle without damaging high-pressure cable and hoses while cleaning liquid is supplied to paint nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The tip of the electrostatic coater 1 is provided with the paint nozzle 2, and the air nozzle 4 is provided around a needle-like electrode 3 in such a way that the electrode 3 is projected from the inside of nozzle to the outside. The paint nozzle 2 is connected to the paint hose 5 forming a part of the paint supply path, and the hose 5 is connected switchably to the sources of various paints and cleaning liquid. The air nozzle 4 is connected to the air hose 6 which is connected switchably to the path 7 through which paint-spraying air is supplied and the path 8 through which low-pressure purging air is supplied. At the time of cleaning, trouble with the invasion of paint, cleaning liquid, etc., from the paint nozzle 2 into the air nozzle 4 can be prevented by jetting the purging air from the air nozzle 4. |
