<p>An upstroking compression moulding press includes a pair of side frame members (1,2) to support an upper, fixed platen (3) which is pivotably supported between said members (1,2) said platen (3) having locking means thereon comprising a bar (8) extending over at leastthethickness of both of said sideframe members (1,2) and the distance between them, together with means (10,11,12) for displacing said bar (8) from a first position in which it is spaced from said members and a second position in which end portions of the bar are received in notches (6) in said members (1,2).</p> |
