<p>A 1-D venturi flow meter having an inlet and an outlet, connected by a first wall and a second wall disposed substantially opposite one another to create a channel capable of airflow. The first wall and the second wall each have a first bend and a second bend, where the first bend in the first wall and the first bend in the second wall form an angle ?, and the second bend in the first wall and the second bend in the second wall form an angle a. The first bend in the first wall and the first bend in the second wall are at opposite angle ? such that the channel is narrowed to define a throat portion of the channel. The second bend in the firstwall and the second bend in the second wall are at opposite angle a, such that the channel is widened. The flow meter's flow channel is narrowed and widened in only one of the two directions as defined by the perimeter of the inlet or the outlet.</p> |
