The printer (1) has a sensor switch (33) which detects at least one of the positions of the case (2) and a control device (46) for controlling display direction of a display (5) so that the displayed content in its right direction can easily be read at each of the arrangement position of the case (2) detected by the sensor switch (33).</p>
