A simulated organism device developing actions under control by a computer. The device comprises perceiving means (1) for detecting stimulus given to the device as external parameters and causing an event, simulated emotion creating means (2) for expressing a simulated emotion as an internal parameter depending on the situation of detection of the external parameters, and action performing means (5) for determining a reaction responding to the combination of the external and internal parameters and embodying the reaction in a movement of a predetermined portion in response to the event. The simulated emotion creating means (2) is provided with an emotion computing section (9) for generating an emotion parameter composed of a combination of two parameters expressing incompatible mental states in response to the event and action infection value computing section (10) for generating an action infection parameter for controlling an action element according to the emotion parameter and sending the emotion infection parameter to the action performing means (5). Even if the same reaction is developed, inflection of each behavior fragment can be added depending on the emotion simulated by stimulation detection history.
