<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a random access signal receiver and a random access signal receiving method in which preamble incorrect detection can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: A delay profile generating section 13 generates a delay profile based on a correlation value calculated at a correlation value calculating section 12. A delay profile storage section 14 stores a delay profile generated at the delay profile generating section 13. A delay profile compounding section 15 compounds a current delay profile generated at the delay profile generating section 13 and a past delay profile only of noise stored at the delay profile storage section 14 and averages noise.
