<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an LUT setting procedure in the case of exchanging a photoreceptor unit. <P>SOLUTION: The photoreceptor unit 20 comprises a photoreceptor drum 9, an electrifying device 21, a developing device 22 and a cleaning device 23, and also comprises an ID chip 24 functioning as a non-volatile storage means capable of realizing radio data transmission and reception. The photoreceptor unit 20 completed in a photoreceptor unit manufacturing stage is attached to a printer equipped with a data conversion processing function for converting binary input data of main M×sub M pixels (meaning main scanning direction M pixels×subscanning direction M pixels, and so forth on) into multi-valued data of main N×sub N pixels (M and N are integers, M<N, and N/M is a non-integral number) and outputting the data, and an LUT is set by the conventional method, and the set value is stored in the ID chip 24 provided in the photoreceptor unit.
