<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the read operation of an RFID tag with a portable image information terminal under dark circumstances. <P>SOLUTION: The information terminal 1 is provided with a white light source 2a and an excitation light source 2b as a lighting system in the front side surface of a case and an antenna 4a being a loop antenna for RFID processing inside the front side surface. The direction of lighting optical axes of the white light source 2a and the excitation light source 2b is set to almost the same direction as an antenna normal line H4a being a direction of high reading sensitivity of the antenna 4a.
