<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translucent liquid crystal display device that is easy to manufacture, and to provide its manufacturing method which can maintain superior quality, when used either as a semitransparent type or a reflection type display. <P>SOLUTION: A control electrode 113 is formed on the same layer as the gate bus line 111, and a reflector 120 is formed on the insulation film 115 covering the gate bus line 111 and the control electrode 113. The control electrode 113 is electrically connected with the source electrode 118s of a TFT, and the reflector 120 is capacitively coupled with the control electrode 113. After the formation of an insulation film 121 on the TFT and the reflector electrode and then forming an opening to expose the reflector electrode 120, a transparent conductive film is formed over the whole surface. Transparent electrodes 122a-122c are formed, by patterning this transparent film and electrically connects with the source electrode 118s of the TFT. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
