<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter structure for attaining high color reproducibility and high contrast. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the color filter structure used for a liquid crystal display apparatus, the structure is constituted of a color filter formed as the polymer of fine areas corresponding to red, green and blue pixels colored with pigment, and a high-contrast filter where a color pigment having an absorption peak in a visible wavelength region is monomer-dispersed in resin, the chromaticity of white display based on the chromaticity of fine red, green and blue areas of the color filter measured by using a CIE-Standard C light source satisfies (x, y≤0.29) in x and y in a CIE XYZ display color system; and the chromaticity of the high-contrast filter measured by using the C light source satisfies (0.31≤x and y≤0.45) in x and y, and the chromaticity as the color filter structure measured by using the C light source satisfies (0.29≤x and y≤0.32) in x and y. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
