<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector type vehicular headlight installable even in a vehicle with a space having a small depth, and capable of forming a plurality of kinds of light distribution patterns according to a traveling situation of the vehicle, and of enhancing visibility in front of the vehicle as required. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicular headlight 10 is provided with: a projection lens 11 disposed on a lens center axis Ax extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle; a reflector 24 mounted behind the projection lens 11 and disposed so that its optical axis Vx perpendicularly intersects with the lens center axis Ax; a discharge bulb 22 inserted into and fixed to the reflector 24; a selective reflection member 25 rotatably disposed on the optical axis Vx of the reflector 24; and light-dark boundary formation parts 26a, 27a and 28a formed at one-side ends of reflective reflecting surfaces 26, 27 and 28 of the selective reflection member 25 located in the vicinity of a rear focal point Fo of the projection lens for forming cutoff lines of light distribution patterns different from one another. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
