<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new type printing unit of a printing press for a type wherein, at least one printing mechanism is provided, the printing mechanism or each printing mechanism has at least one plate cylinder, a transfer cylinder, an inking mechanism, and favorably a dampening mechanism, and at least one printing area forming apparatus for forming and/or removal of a printing area of a rewritable and erasable printing plate which is positioned in the plate cylinder. <P>SOLUTION: The inking mechanism 15 can be rotated from a printing position to a non-operating position with respect to the plate cylinder 13, when occasion demands, together with the dampening mechanism 16 and the printing area forming apparatus 17 can be rotated from a printing area forming apparatus to a non operating position with respect to the plate cylinder 13. The inking mechanism 15 and when occasion demands, the printing area forming apparatus 17 is rotated to a non-operating position under the dampening mechanism 16 is rotated to the printing position. And, in a state that the printing area forming apparatus 17 is rotated to a printing area position, the inking mechanism 15 and when occasion demands, the dampening mechanism 16 is rotated to the non operating position. Further, by advancing side by side motion elongated in a longitudinal axis 29 direction between the plate cylinder 23 of each printing mechanism 22 and a corresponding printing area part forming apparatus 28, each printing mechanism can be transferred to printing area forming operation from printing operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
