PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera and moving picture photographing method which photograph moving pictures without missing them at desired instant after starting the moving picture photographing or finishing it without influencing the next photographing timing. SOLUTION: In a PAST movie photograph mode for recording moving pictures before and after a shutter key is pressed, a user presets a PAST photographing time (T1) being the photographing time of past moving pictures immediately before pressing the shutter key, and a FUTURE photographing time (T2) being the photographing time of future moving pictures after the shutter key is pressed.After reading both times (T1, T2) (SB1), the camera recurrently stores the latest photographed pictures (SB5) until the shutter key is pressed up to T1. When the shutter key is pressed to photograph still pictures (SB5), it then photographs the moving pictures by T2 (SB7).
