PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating part and a camera with rotation of an operating button prohibited and with the operating button prevented from coming off an operating ring. SOLUTION: The operating part 3 is provided with an operating ring 4 rotated for operation equipped with concave parts 43a, 43b, 43c, 43d taking on a ring shape and intermittently formed at an inner periphery part 41 along its peripheral direction, an operating button 5 equipped with claws 53a, 53b, 53c, 53d set in correspondence with each concave part of the operating ring 4 and bayonet-linked with the inner periphery part 41 of the operating ring 4 and arranged in free tilting in four directions against the operating ring 4, and an installing part 7 equipped with an engagement part 72 inhibiting rotation of the operating button 5 by being engaged with each claw of the operating button 5 and supporting the operating ring 4 in free rotation within a rotation range in which the bayonet linking of the operating ring 4 with the operating button 5 is kept.
