PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator preventing contact of a heater wire and a glass tube even when the heater wire and the glass tube are adjacently provided. SOLUTION: The refrigerator is provided with an evaporator of a refrigerating cycle, a defrosting heater 60 for removing frost adhered to the evaporator, and a refrigerant sealed in the refrigerating cycle. The defrosting heater 60 comprises the glass tube 63, the heater wire 61 having a straight part 61a and a spiral part 61b provided in a glass tube 63 interior, and a rubber cap 66 sealing an end of the glass tube 63. A plug part 66a to be fitted in an inner side of the glass tube 63 is provided on the rubber cap 66, and a holding member 64 is provided for holding the heater wire 61 in the plug part 66a. By this composition, a portion easily moving in a radial direction in the straight part 61a becomes short, and even when a gap between the spiral part 61b and the glass tube 63 is minimized for enhancing heat conductivity, the heater wire 61 hardly contacts the glass tube 63.
