PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel strip coiler having a wrapper roll and an apron arranged around a mandrel, wherein a space between the wrapper roll and the apron is easily maintained at a predetermined value and any hooking accident is surely prevented from occurring. SOLUTION: An apron 2 is divided into a plurality of portions in the axial direction of a wrapper roll 1, and each divided apron member 12 is moved in the direction of the wrapper roll 1 so that the position is adjustable. When a space 10 between the wrapper roll 1 and the apron 2 is expanded by the wear or the like of the wrapper roll 1, each divided apron member 12 is moved according to its worn state, and the space between the wrapper roll 1 and the apron 2 is adjusted to a predetermined value.
