<p>The invention relates to vacuum engineering. The inventive transport device comprises a vacuum chamber, input and output sealing units, transporting means, a mechanism for supplying consumable sealing material to said sealing units under pressure, a device for removing the waste sealing material from a transportable object outside the vacuum chamber arranger after the input and before the output sealing units. The inventive transporting method consists in supplying the sealing material to the units under pressure, thereby making it possible to sealingly transporting a long-length object though the vacuum chamber and in removing the waste sealing material from the object outside the vacuum chamber, from the spaces arranged after the input and before output sealing units. The sealing material is resuppliable according to the consumption thereof.</p> |
